Clear waters, bird calls' stranded in the breeze, white sands and space that stretches on and on.
Where is such an oasis? The idyllic Murrébuè Beach lies in northern Mozambique.
Nearest airport: Pemba is located 10 kilometres north of Murrébuè Beach.

Where to stay: George and Emma's Ulala Guesthouse, an eco lodge with a Mozambican-French twist. Ulala means "sleepy" in the local Makua-Lomwe language whereas the lodge can also claim true to its "ooh-la-la" French pronunciation.
For more details, go to www.ulala-lodge.com.

Most memorable moment: A local Mozambique lady tempted us with her fresh catch of the day from a bucket balanced ever-so-gracefully on top of her head.
