I was recently reminded of my favourite Nigerian food in a surprising place. It was while walking towards our rented apartment in Tallin, Estonia.
There, next to the tram line, the African restaurant - Chop Afrik - advertised its starter plate of chicken or beef suya. These little strips of flavour were my favourite Friday night starter during my two years working in Nigeria. Compared to other Nigerian fare, the heat level is mild but flavour is delicious.

If you run across such a dish, be sure to sample a skewer!
