Discover views of mountain peaks that fade into the horizon and learn how to safely cross glaciers, rescue yourself or your travel companion from a crevasse fall and many more practical mountaineering skills.

I can attest to an amazing six-day outdoor workshop to learn the basics of mountaineering around the Wapta Icefields in Canada’s Rocky Mountains.
Impeccably organized by: Yamnuska Mountain Adventures

Guided by: Chhering Sherpa, certified mountain guide who climbed Everest for his first time when he was 19 years old and his experiences only grew from there.

Accommodation: Bow Hut, accessibly by a 3 to 5 hour hike from Bow Lake

Group size: Six of us green mountaineers were instructed by Chhering

Awesome photos and memories. Only way I would get Mich up there is by helicopter.

Thanks, it was a very good day despite the smoke haze.
Luckily, there are lots of accessible places like Jasper’s Glacier Skywalk - still on my list of “to see’s”.

Was searching for certain takes with respect to this theme and I found your article very educational. It has given me a new viewpoint on the point handled. Much appreciated!
