Sometime in the middle of the night, my husband and I both awoke suddenly. We looked around, not sure what had startled us. We then heard a low snort a few metres away. This was followed by the sound of grass being pulled. Then a faint chewing sound grated over and over. Another sniff, but nearer. Whatever had come for an evening snack was approaching our tent.”

Around midnight, we landed in Helsinki and headed to prison. Granted, this prison is in a little nicer condition than a few decades ago. Not a bad start to four months of adventure through Europe and Asia to be featured in my next ...In My Pack book.
